Have you seen the new coin designs??? Now you may not know this, Dear Constant Reader, but this boy collects coins. Sad but true. My initial thoughts are positive, even if I'm a little peeved at the absence of Brittania.

ReplyDeleteDid you know the 2005 U.S. five cent piece -- known to us Yanks as the nickel -- has the following quote on the back: "Ocean sighted. O the joy!"
Apparently it's from the journals of Lewis or Clark who explored the American West in 1805.
Oh, also, have a great time getting ready for the trip to Thailand. How exotic it sounds. What eciting sights, sounds, colors and smells -- to say nothing of the food!
ReplyDeleteBut what a long trip for you. Of course you are a lot closer than we are. Do you upgrade a class or two? I can't imagine you lasting long in a coach seat.
I didn't know the nickel had that quote on it. The Lewis and Clark expedition is of great interest to me, one of those amazing adventures history throws up from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid we don't upgrade but do our best to ensure I get a seat near the emergency exits... where all the nasty people gather waiting for the loo and whilst they enjoying annoying others. Looking forward to the flight... not!
