Every day we seem to have yet another story of Government and police power increasing at the cost of our rights. Now the Phelps are banned. If we are going to start banning people for their views, not for inciting violence which the Phelps obviously do not attempt to do (they rejoice in death not encourage it beyond the death penalty for homosexuals something which is in the Bible so if we are going to start banning people for suggesting it can we please ban that vile book too? Oops sorry am I banned now because I called the Bible vile??), then where will it end?
It's not too late to stop the madness. But it very well soon might be. Freedom means nothing if it only applies to the acceptable.

Ahhh come on now Jae....I am assuming this post was nothing more than being a link whore and trying to get traffic to your blog with a current topical subject that google users may be thrown to. This is not about civil liberties and the freedom of speech. There is a big differnce in someone saying "I dont like homosexuals" and "All FAGS should DIE". The latter is phrased in such a way as to incite and has a very real chance of enabling a breach of the peace. As far as I am aware this is against UK Law, and as such any group or individual who is trying to enter this country with the intent to break the law should be refused entry.
ReplyDeleteSo you also agree that it'd be ok for a homophobic country to ban me from entering as I might "breach the peace"? It's not alright, never will it be. First they come for the easy targets, the unpopular homophobes and racists. Next they will come for us.
