Another Night In The Local

Yesterday afternoon Jim's Mum arrived for a weekend visit and Jim, his Mum and I all meet up at London Bridge. We got her settled in at the Devonport House, a clean if uninteresting hotel, before catching a drink at the bar (4 quid for a pint!!!!) and headed to our local.

On the way we met up with a neighbour and soon enough our other neighbour appeared with his friend (who had just been to Celebration Europe and paid 85 quid for Mark Hamil's autograph... rip off!).

Drunk too much... :(

Jim and I walked his Mum back to the hotel before wandering around nighttime Greenwich... and found a bakery open! At 11pm! A bakery! Never before have I seen such a wonderful sight. Doesn't anyone else think that is a little random?

Not half as random as this video...

  1. You seem to be feeling better. And that's good news. Live and let live. That's the ticket.

By the way, have you eaten at Chili's, a Texas cafe from the states? I believe there's one at Canary Wharf. The ones here are a lot of fun and decent food, too.

  2. There is one there and I was going to go a little while back but plans didn't actually come to anything. The Americans who I know who've been say it's great.

I'll have to check it out! It's only 10 minutes away.
