Today I resigned from my new job. They were going to mess me around and, as you Dear Constant Reader may remember, I've been there before back when I worked at Faulty Towers.
So I am an unemployed bum again. Woo!
What were those idiots thinking when they refused a soldier a night in a hotel? D'oh!

ReplyDeleteReading between the lines, they have had enough of squaddies causing trouble. If I was running a hotel, or if I was a guest, I wouldn't welcome groups of squaddies. It would seem less of a problem with an individual. Perhaps a bit more common sense should have been used in that case .
ReplyDeleteActually I said to Jim that the policy was almost certainly done because of groups of squaddies. But still.. very silly.
